I remember once that the FHW was chastised for essentially being a pit where the criminally insane slash at each other with rusty hooks, so I'm curious as to what the level of F'd Upedness (as of now that is a word) this event will be. I mean, if it's really a countdown to extinction and once last giant matchup to end all matchups, then it would be false advertising to be full of suplexes and armbars, and totally devoid of the wave of mutilation that it ought to be. So what's the level? Is it:
Totally-Freakin'-Sweet: example: Hobbes cuts off someone's arm, then uses that arm as a club to beat the victim while screaming "Stop hittin' yerself!"
Pretty Cool ...I Guess: example: Hobbes pins an opponent's foot to the mat with a boot knife and proceeds to use his victim as a Wavemaster punching bag.
Television-Friendly: example: Masks of crimson, but nothing that really makes you admire the new and innovative ways that violence can be caused.
All-Ages Appropriate: example: Televised wrestling 20 years ago with armbars and suplexes and (shudder) technical wrestling.

Honestly, I'd love to say "Totally-Freakin'-Sweet," but I'm not entirely sure that Dave would think it's a good idea for people to die in the ring from massive blood loss.
So I'm going to have to say it's probably halfway between "Television-Friendly" and "Pretty Cool... I Guess."

I'd have to say the same thing.

I've never been a fan of this mutilation stuff. I've always wanted to keep it realistic as this stuff is being shown on television or on ppv. I don't really care about what people do in their roleplays as they are not televised, but as for the events, i write them on a semi realisitic basis. There i lots of blood and swearing...but nothing that would realisitically cause somebody to be arrested for murder or whatever.

I just like to go a little more old school. But with that said, if hobbes wants to try anything at the event, send me a strat and see what happens. Just having him attempt something a little out there could be quite entertaining, even if he doesnt' pull it off.
Plus, i have had my moments....As Daemon Krav i crucified Scorpion in the ring in the FHW about 5 years ago.

"Old school" apparently means vaguely approximating sane

Sanity has not been Hobbes' friend for about nine years now.
Anyway, always good to know what the reasonable limits are. I'll send in a plethora of strats running the gamut, and then I can just sit back and be surprised at the ones that play.
...as a side note, I look forward to running the angle of having team FHW being the scary lot from the wrong side of the tracks by comparison.
