I know what Benoit did, however i had set up the Crippler division as a tribute to who he was. I honestly believe that he was a good man, and that something pretty fucked up happened over the last little while that fucked things up. So, i want to know how you guys feel about this division.

He was a Canadian legend, there's no doubt about it. Of course it was a tragedy that he was pushed that far, but we can't judge a man based on his last minutes on earth. His life was a steady rise to the top and that's what we have to focus on here. Leave the name as it is.

Personally, I've lost any respect for him as a man, but you still can't discount what he did in the ring. I see no problem with the division name. If nothing else, it'll lead to some interesting early roleplays.

Like Steele said, don't judge a man by his last moments on earth. Who knows what could've happened, what could've pushed him to it, and so on and so forth. Keep it as it is.

Call it the Crippler division, as it represents not only Bennoit, but the idea behind the belt. Then have it honor him, as well as men like Guerro, Hart, etc, who have died over the past 10 years.

Final thoughts on Chris Benoit. I have been doing alot of reading as to what happened, and i want to make the point of saying that despite the great career he had, and what he did as an athlete...there is no forgiveness for killing his child and wife. I know that the mind does strange things some times, and that everybody here may have varying opinions on it, and to be honest, i don't really want to get into mine. However, while i know what the results of the poll have said, i have decided that honoring a murderer, no matter how great he once was, or how good a man he was at one time, is not how i want to start the newest version of the OWF.
As for the Crippler Memorial Division, i will be renaming simply the Crippler Division. It will pay tribute to all those(as Brad said), that have pushed themselves to the edge, broken every bone in their body, and in the end, crippled themselves, merely to entertain. The career of chris benoit is among those people. But i will not honor the man himself, not anymore.
I don't want to start a debate about this, rather, i would like to put an end to it. Any further updates that people would like to share on what is happening in the news regarding the investigation, please put in the other threat about this subject. I have gone through the site and gotten rid of any mention of a memorial to chris benoit.
Just for the record, i had origionally planned on calling that division the Iron man division, in reference to Colin's wonderful Iron man competitions he has organized over the years.
Anyway, i hope everyone aggrees with this on some level.

Oh, man, if you'd called it the Iron Man Division, I'd have had to have lived there...
